As far as me learning German goes... not so much. I work with a bunch of people who are from all over the place and I can't tell if they are speaking German, French, African tribe language, or even English at this point. Nonetheless we figure out a way to communicate and all is good. Well, it's about that time for me to head to the sweatlodge I call work. Until next time, chao.

So now that I've kinda got settled in and figured my way around, this place is really so much more than I could have imagined. It's like living in a fairytale. Work has been going good, too bad I have to go back today after having the past 3 days off! I was able to go to a couple different lakes and pools and catch some rays. I would try and spell the names of these places but that is just way too complex. Here are a few pics of one of the lakes.. (if you are on Facebook you may have already seen some)

The new job
So I got to Garmisch yesterday around noon and got to go around and check out what this city has to offer. It's pretty cool and right at the base of the Bavarian Alps. The downtown area has lots of shops and restaurants with plenty of places to check out. My new roommate, Pete, and I roamed around and had to test out some German beer and find our way around town. Throughout the whole day rain was on and off, on and off. Hopefully that will continue once it drops about 50 degrees. We went to this place called Peaches last night that is a resaurant/casino that has half priced pizza on Mondays and other good specials throughout the week. Wound up crashing early from a long sleepless flight and got off and going today around 7AM. We had orientation and a half ton of paperwork to fill out until about noon before we finally got some free lunch. For the first job.... laundy. haha, ought to be interesting but easy and laid back enough to get me some $ before I can transfer to work in the adventures department. We have ski/snowboard tryouts towards the end of October in Austia so I'll be looking forward to that... As for now I'm off to go climb to Kriegergedachtniskapelle (aka the halfway house) for an afternoon delight.
